Welcome to Servicehub! Servicehub provides hosts with a reliable place to access frequently requested information, as well as to provide a place for hosts to engage the Canada Homestay Network and each other.
1. Getting Around¶
You should see a navigational menu in the header of this page like this:
This will be your main access to the various sections of Servicehub.
To search for topics in the wiki, use the search field at the top right corner of the site.
2. Host Portal vs. Servicehub¶
We are pleased to offer a well-developed technical platform to our hosts. The terms that you will hear referenced are Servicehub and the Host Portal.
Right now you are in Servicehub, which contains our Blog, Wiki, and Forums.
Blog: Think of our Blog as an extension of our Host Newsletter - there you’ll find articles written by associates, hosts, and even students.
Wiki: Our wiki is comprised of two sections: National and Local. Our National Wiki is used to provide you with the resources that you require to host. Expect to find tips on hosting, important documents, and other CHN policies. Our Local Wikis are customized to each community and will contain unique content for those hosts: information on local events, information for group tours, etc..
Forums: Our Forums are open for a general discussion for all hosts nationwide, and allow you to create a dialogue with other hosts across Canada on whatever hosting question you may have.
Our Host Portal is the jumping off point to reach our Servicehub resources. It is also the part of our website where you can update your profile and deal with your host record, including your banking information. Because of the sensitive nature of host profiles, we must keep this area secure and separate from the information in the Servicehub.
We understand that this can be a little confusing, but we keep them separate for a good reason - the security of your data!
3. Logging In¶
While you may access the National Wiki, Blog, and Forums without being logged in, both the Host Portal and Local Wiki require you to be logged in in order to gain access.
Not sure if you have a Host Portal Account? Register for one here.
You’ll need to activate your Host Portal account via the link in your confirmation email before you will be able to log in.
Should you have any issues with logging in to the Host Portal, please contact our Tech team at email@example.com.
